Dr. William W. Oakes, “Woody” graduated from Hanover College in 1969 and then the Indiana University School of Dentistry at the IU Medical Center and also completed his General Practice Residency while there.

In 1974, he joined a practice in his hometown as an associate and two years later started his own practice from scratch.

In the 1980’s he wrote a self-help book for dentists titled “The Winning Combination”… a kind of “rags to riches” story to help dentists create large, quality, profitable practices. That book went on to become the most popular practice management book for dentists ever written. This also led to national attention and speaking invitations. Although it was tough going at first, “Dentistry Today” magazine repeatedly listed him as one of the top clinicians in continuing education.

In 1987, he founded “Excellence in Dentistry, Inc.” which is an information marketing company for dentists and their teams. They publish a magazine, have a CD interview of the month, a Coaching Club for dentists, do informative tele-seminars and also present a couple of national seminars per year.

These seminars gave Dr. Oakes the opportunity to share the stage with people like Tony Robbins, actress Goldie Hawn, Brian Tracy, Jay Abraham and author Dave Pelzer (“A Child Called It”). He also played guitar in a set with the Kingsmen (“Louie, Louie”).

In the 1990’s he started and sold several multi-million dollar companies. One such company manufactured and sold the tiny video cameras dentists and hygienists use when they examine your mouth and then put these captured images on a large color TV monitor for you to see. Also, in the 90’s he pioneered the field of digital radiography (filmless x-rays), now used in most modern dental offices.

Dr. Oakes wrote 17 books – within the field of dentistry – along with two novels - and lectured all across the United States and Canada.

Dr. Nate Booth is a speaker, consultant and coach who helps dentists and their teams discover the success strategies of the nation’s most successful dental practices. Dr. V. Kim Kutsch is founding President of the World Congress of Microdentistry, former president of the Academy of Laser Dentistry and past board member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Nationally Renowned Pilates Instructor and Author

Juli Kagan, RDH, M.Ed., graduated from the University of Maryland in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene and a minor in kinesiology. She has taught clinical instrumentation and ergonomics since 1993 and earned her master's degree in Educational Psychology in 2000. As a 600-hour certified Pilates instructor, her focus is on posture and subsequent carriage throughout the day. She is the author of Mind Your Body: Pilates for the Seated Professional.
